In composition, it is contraction for mudu three, and the first consonant of the next word is usually doubled. Thus maru a time, mummaru three times, thrice. patika a quarter, muppatika three quarters. mukkannu(mudu + kannu) the third eye, mudava kannu. mukkaka threefold heat. mukkani (mudu + kani) three quarters of an anna. mukkaru (mudu + karu) three seasons.mukkalu (mudu + kalu) three legs or three quarters of anything .mukkalipita a three-legged stool. mukkola (mudu + kola) a trident, tridandamu. mamujjagamu ormullokamulu the three worlds, viz., earth, heaven and hell. muvvanne the three (primary) colors.
